While on holiday in Madeira, we hired a Fiat 500 from GAR 105 car rentals, and the service we received from their representative, Tania, was outstanding.
Tania kindly offered to deliver the car directly to our hotel and arrived exactly on time. She clearly explained all the important details about the hire, including insurance, mileage and fuel, which immediately put us at ease.
Shortly after she left, Tania followed up with several helpful messages via WhatsApp. These included guidance on parking regulations in Madeira, photos of fuel pumps to ensure we used the correct fuel, recommendations for navigation apps, and even suggested tourist sights that she thought we would enjoy. This extra level of care was both thoughtful and reassuring.
When we later needed clarification on a few points, we contacted Tania and she answered immediately, followed by a WhatsApp message summarising what we had discussed. This professionalism and attention to detail made the whole experience completely stress-free.
Overall, our dealings with Tania were professional, courteous, and above all friendly and approachable. She is a real credit to her company. If we return to Madeira, our very first stop will be to contact Tania again to arrange car hire. I would not hesitate to recommend her services.

We loved everything, and the service was excellent from the moment we booked the car to the moment we returned it. Tánia, the owner, was incredibly pleasant, always available and helpful. The car was in excellent condition and exactly the one we booked. A nice bonus was that the car was additionally equipped with everything we needed, from umbrellas and blankets to water for the road. It's a small thing, but very nice. I will gladly recommend you to all our tourists (I have a travel agency) and wish your business every success!

Such a great experience renting from Tania at GAR 105. She dropped the car off at our hotel and we returned it to the airport with no problem. When she learned we had a baby with us, she even brought a sun shade and seat organizer! She sent really important and useful local information about hiking trails and weather while we were there, which I would not have known about otherwise. It is a real pleasure to rent from nice people - highly recommend!

Gar105’s car rental was the best decision I could have made for my trip in Madeira. I was able to see everything around the entire island with the car. I rented an automatic suv for a very good price, and it came with waters, bags for groceries, a towel, umbrella for beaches, and a complimentary souvenir for no extra fee! Tânia helped me with the rental pickup and drop off. She also gave very insightful information for driving around Madeira, where to park, what gps to use, and gave constant help throughout my trip. I recommend renting a car from Gar105!

It was the best experience ever! Tania (manager) was very helpful! Shared all info that you need and beyond. Car was clean in good condition. Drop and drop off was smooth and flexible (our arrival was late for 3h and Tania was waiting for us to give us the car).

Easiest and smoothest car rental in experience ever. Have booked several times with other companies in mainland Portugal and none of them compare to this company. Tânia was incredibly helpful and kind.
They truly went above and beyond to make this an amazing experience for us. We were given a picnic blanket, an umbrella, a souvenir fridge magnet and more. They really care about their customers and want them to have the best experience. Will definitely book again if we come back.

Great experience, I couldn't have chosen a better car rental company to explore the island from Santa Cruz. The car was delivered to the hotel on time, Tânia was very nice, explained everything and also sent useful tips on how to enjoy the island.
The car was returned very quickly, and after a while Tânia called me to say that I had forgotten my hat in the car - she brought it to the restaurant where we had dinner. WOW! I have no words. Thank you and I apologize again 🙂

Best car rental ever!!!
I booked a fiat 500 hybrid for 6 days.
Tania was super helpful and answering all questions , also helping for many things. The car comes with umbrella, blanket, cooling bag and water which are very useful in Madeira.
I booked the car without insurance and didn’t have any issue . They directly inspected the car when I returned and refunded my deposit right away. So it is not a scam like other car rental company (however, now I think that it would be nice get insurance actually because of the Madeira hard road condition)
About car: it is a new well maintained car with car play. It has small engine but was able to climb Madeira uphills and gives advantage since it is a small car. I would suggest to get more powerful car if you don’t like small engine .

We are extremely satisfied with GAR105. Not only we received a car that was very well maintained (looking like new) but also we got beach equipment in the trunk and even bottles of water. Most importantly Mrs. Tánia with whom we've been in contact is a lovely person who provided us with many useful information regarding the island is Madeira. Pick-up and return of the car was very smooth, we didn't have any problems whatsoever. Next time we will for sure rent a car with this company. Thank you for everything!

We have initially booked a Citroen C3 with full insurance and we got a free upgrade and received a Seat Leon which was a very nice car!
We have received the car at our hotel in Funchal and we got a lot of important tips and information from the owner, who was always very friendly, helpful and sent us different tips during our stay in Madeira. This really helped us and made our stay more delightful.
There were no hidden fees and no surprise when we gave the car back (at the same spot in Funchal). 100% recommend for anyone visiting Madeira.

Had a great time driving a Mini Cooper convertible on the island! Easy and fast pick up and drop off at the airport. The car is new and clean. Full insurance, so no worries during the entire trip. Automatic transmission, but with manual mode you can use engine braking on steep hills. Overall - recommend!

👏 The best car rental company in Madeira! I loved our experience, especially the friendly approach that the owner takes (which is so rare nowadays). She gave us so many useful tips about the island, activities, restaurants and hiking info, I was in awe and so grateful! We could reach her at any time during our trip. Great service, car delivered to the apartment, collected from the apartment, payment in cash, full insurance, no down payment. This is probably the best car rental company on this island. I recommend models with automatic transmission, in Madeira there are very narrow roads, very steep, constant passing with other cars on these bends on the climbs, this is definitely not a situation for manual gearboxes. This company has cars with automatic, we used the Seat Arona, it handled perfectly on the winding steep roads of Madeira, the car is very agile and maneuverable.

This is my second time renting a car from this company. Tanya is amazing so responsive and always giving me updates on my holidays on where to go and places to visit. The fleet of cars available are fantastic and I even got a free upgrade this time. Also it's the little things like the the fact that Tanya provides a bag in the boot with an umbrella and lots of useful things you wouldn't normally take on holiday but might need to use. Would recommend this company 100 percent and I will be using them again later in the year for my third visit.

We are thrilled with Tânia and her team! We have never experienced such a good rental car company. Just a few minutes after we landed, our rental car was at the airport. The handover was quick and easy, the car was in top condition. Dropping it off directly at the airport was also extremely easy and quick. In the car there were two bottles of water, chocolate, sun visor, umbrella, picnic blanket and bags for shopping - that was very practical and thoughtful. We'll be back!

Absolutely deserved 5 stars! Reservation without any problems, whole communication was quick and easy. Very nice and clean car. All documents were prepared so hand-over of the car was quick and simple. Same with returning a car.

I had an excellent experience with this car rental service! The booking process was smooth, the staff were friendly and professional, and the car was clean and in great condition. For sure worth recommendation. I'm happy that I decided to rent a car from GAR 105. Very personal service on high level.
Paperwork done in advance so we spend minimum time at the airport.
Car, almost brand new, was ready and waiting outside main gate at the airport.
All the small details as drinking water bottles in car, accessories as umbrella, shopping bag included in cars equipment and even cars menu already set to my native language made it a pleasant experience. And of course very good price levels and no strange problems when returning the car.
Definitely will use them again next time visiting Madeira and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience with Gar 105! The friendly, welcoming team was incredibly responsive via WhatsApp, making communication seamless. Tânia (the co-owner) greeted me warmly at arrivals, and the drop-off at departures was just as easy. I rented a Seat Ateca at a great price, with their affordable insurance providing peace of mind. No unnecessary paperwork—they work on trust. Excellent service, competitive rates, and a stress-free process made my Madeira vacation even better. Highly recommended!

Excellent service and communication! We were travelling to Madeira for the first time and chose the rental agency based on the positive reviews, and eventually, we ourselves made sure they are all trustworthy and even more! We got the car in the perfect condition and had no issue at all during our stay. The pick-up and drop-off was so easy and convenient at the airport. No prepayment or deposit needed, we simply paid by card at the very arrival. Many thanks to Tania and her husband for their useful tips and 24/7 support. You really made our stay enjoyable! Amazing car rental service, we had a great experience from pick up to drop off.
Tânia and her husband were very helpful, friendly and available. They delivered our car to our accommodation for free.
Everything was efficient. No deposit needed and you can even book without a credit card. The whole process was super fast and easy.
